Administrative HistoryLostock Gralam was formerly a township in the chapelry of Witton in the ancient parish of Great Budworth. The new parish of Lostock Gralam was formed in 1844, comprising the townships of Birches, Hulse, Lach Dennis, Lostock Gralam, which were in Witton chapelry, and part of Wincham township in Great Budworth parish. The church of All Saints, Lach Dennis, and the school church of St. Andrew, Wincham, were built as chapels of ease to Lostock Gralam in 1896.
